"Ugly" status icons don't have transparent backgrounds.

Subject: "Ugly" status icons don't have transparent backgrounds.
The Ugly website status icons have a plain white background without white being set as transparent.

This makes them look even uglier than normal on websites that don't use white pages.  Is there any chance that the icons can be updated so that white is set to transparent?

If not, then how about adding a new icon set?  I made a quick set that i call Georgia (it's just a transparent background with 11pt bold Georgia font).  They're available here if a site admin wants to add them.

Or how about a set of SVG icons for those users not concerned with compatibility with Internet Explorer?  An SVG iconset would allow users to style them using CSS, and being a textual format it should be easy to display custom statuses and not just the limited number of states currently available.

Hello, sorry for the late reply. I added you icons to the Jabbim's set as "georgia". See http://www.netlab.cz/status/georgia/

Talking about SVG icons: that would require some modifications to the scripts, so maybe in future we can add it.

Thanks for putting the icons up; they're working perfectly.

I understand the issues with using SVG icons, i just think they would be a good fit for a dynamic service like status icons.  Hopefully, in a couple of years we'll see a lot more of SVG.

you have to download them from a computer that has internet and save them to a disk or flash drive to install on the other computer.
